About Jennifer Grieves

A former career Marine with more than two decades of program management experience, Jennifer Grieves was based at the Marine Corps Air Station in New River, North Carolina, along with other posts. Among her roles were as director of operations and training, and as executive director of the personnel management detachment. Managing an aviation flying hour program budget totaling $2.5 million, Jennifer Grieves ensured consistently high levels of conduct across Marine Aircraft Group 29 operations, which spanned 4,300 personnel and seven flying squadrons.

From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Grieves was active with the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, as chief of staff and executive director. Among her responsibilities was managing administrative processing related to the initial U.S. Marine Corps commissioning of 270 Naval Academy midshipmen. Her staff oversight duties also encompassed 56 active duty personnel, and she fulfilled diverse logistics, risk management, safety, and financial management functions.

Ms. Grieves holds a BS in criminology from the University of Maryland, College Park and completed her master’s degree in military studies at the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. Extensively decorated, Jennifer Grieves has earned the Meritorious Service Medal on three occasions and the Air Medal for Individual Action twice.
